Procedure :
1) Go to Format / Area (Yes, believe me! We start going to “Format Area” )
2) Choose BITMAPS on the window and click the Import button
3) Name your imported bitmap
4) Go to View / Master / Slide Master
5) Right click on a free area of the slide and go to Slide / Page Setup
6) On the background tab, choose bitmaps from the drop-down menu and select your previously created bitmap.

You are my superstar!
I have a new machine and am trying soooo hard to leave MS behind. Just got a project to do PowerPoint templates and it is all new to me. This page helped me enormously!
Thanks so much for sharing –

I found this useful, too.
This is an unreasonably awkward feature… especially considering how ugly the standard themes are!
Thanks for the help.

Thanks Nevil
I’ve just started trying to put my articles into slides and recording them. I hated the backgrounds immediately on OpenOffice lol
This was just what the doctor ordered and one of the first results on Google – Perfect 🙂
Thanks again
